Back to School Shopping for Watercolor Artists
The back-to-school season should be a holiday! Some are excited about this time because it means getting the kids out of the house for 6 hours a day, while others are excited to start the new school year. Whether you’re attending school or sending kids back or both, this time of the year is perfect for shopping! I LOVE back-to-school shopping and use this time to update both my watercolor and office supplies. I put together a list of items that are perfect for watercolor artists this time of the year! These are perfect for use during classes, work, or in your watercolor practice!
The perfect work or school bag
I love a good bag, but finding one that fits all of your work/school supplies and some extra watercolor supplies can be challenging! This bag is the perfect carry-all bag! It’s great because it has an insulated space for your lunch, a USB port to charge your phone, and spaces for your water bottle! I also think the insulated space would be perfect for your watercolor supplies in case anything spills. It would be an easy cleanup!
Organize all of your art supplies
I love rearranging my office space to ensure everything is organized, and there’s no better time than back-to-school time! Using a cart like this would be a great way to organize your art and school supplies! I also love adding labels to any storage containers to ensure I know what’s in my space, and I’m not buying doubles of anything. This small label maker is perfect for that!
A notebook for all of your notes!
If you’re anything like me, you have stacks of notebooks and journals around the house! But I still use this time of the year to buy a new one and convince myself I won’t get another until this one is full. Nonetheless, back-to-school season is the perfect excuse for a new notebook. I sell notebooks with my art printed on them, but I love them because they are the perfect size to take with you anywhere and everywhere. I’ve even left a few blank pages so you have room to sketch ideas for your next painting!
Art Supplies for your art classes
If you’re taking any art classes this school year, you’ll need some new supplies. Swatching colors is always a great way to get your creative juices flowing and test out new paints you might have never used before.
